How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Associated Veterinary Medical Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We have brought all of our Pitty/Pitty mixes here since leaving another local clinic from town and can say we have never looked back. The customer service, financial support, love for our animals and outstanding staff have been impeccable. When our oldest (rest her soul) was shot they took care of her like she was their own. When our youngest was suffering so bad from a skin infection from allergies and needed multiple steps in order to get better with medications it was about the most important step in order to get him better, not everything at once to try to get more money out of us. It’s ALWAYS about our fur babies, whats most important, what WE feel most comfortable doing and how to make it most cost efficient for US. To now helping us with our newest member Peppa 🫶🏽

Thank you so much for taking Blackberry right in and treating her so compassionately. She is doing much better. Her wound is healing, she is herself again and she is eating. Everyone there is the best.

I have always found them to be very nice people and they are very caring with our animals. I have not had a bad experience with them. Thankyou for being my first and most favorite veterinary care center. Carol A Schilling

Got my cat looked at for a cough(paid). They said I'll need an xray. Call back later and schedule an xray and they tell me not to feed my cat for it and come in at 9 am. Brought in my cat at 9 and didn't hear back at all. Called at 11:20 and they said they hadn't done anything because the vet wanted to charge me for another assessment. Told me it would be 560$ with the medication before they xrayed the cat. How do they know the price already? Why even do the xray of they know what he needs? I declined the services and took my cat home for free. Wouldn't even come here in an emergency unless you're a millionaire.

***WARNING*** This clinic overcharges, and will withhold life saving meds for your pet if you don’t pay your bill immediately. Our dog had a life threatening condition, and it cost thousands. We always paid our bill on time, and then when I was out of town, and my kids had to take our dog in, and couldn’t pay the bill at time of service they threatened to withhold the medications our dog desperately needed. This place has a huge ego and they are about money, and not animals. If I could sue them, I would. They would never get away with their tactics if they were human medical providers.
