I took my 12 year old cat here to be treated for seizures, since this is one of the few animal hospitals in the area with a neurologist. Easy parking! The lobby was spacious and quiet, a nice surprise. Really nice staff that put me at ease despite the stressful situation. I was seen promptly. I would certainly come here again for specialist care.

Brought my boy all the way from Alaska to see a neurologist. Everyone was friendly, they ran all the necessary test and got all his medicine sent home the same day. They even did a quick follow-up check on him before our flight home. Very knowledgeable staff. I think our dog would have died without their help.

Poor Bonita, My daughters (18, 16, and 13) and I came into Blue Pearl on Thursday night, distressed after finding our cat, who had been missing for 12 to 24 hours, injured—possibly from being hit by a car or something heavy falling on them. After using care credit for $1,700 plus, which covered X-rays and bloodwork, we learned that our three-year-old cat had a fractured jaw. We were told that Blue Pearl would be closed on Friday and instructed to contact the Tukwila branch for surgery. I waited for their call, but fast-forward to Sunday, our cat was still in pain, and we were just giving medication to keep them comfortable. I decided to call Tukwila to inquire about surgery options. When they finally got back to me, I was told we would need to come in for a consultation, likely costing another $275. I then learned the cat didn’t need surgery but instead required dental work, which was very confusing. They advised me to call the Tacoma branch for more details. The Tacoma branch, thankfully, was much more transparent and helpful. I finally received an estimate of a minimum of $5,000 for the dental procedure. However, I wish I had known sooner that Blue Pearl operates independently between branches, meaning the radiology report I paid for at the Seattle location wouldn’t be shared with Tukwila or Tacoma, causing even more delays and extra costs. This fragmented process feels no different than transferring between schools that don’t accept each other’s credits. I’m incredibly disappointed. By Friday, I could have made the difficult decision to euthanize my cat, but it took until Monday after unnecessary pain, stress, and financial strain for us to reach that conclusion. The lack of transparency in billing and the overall experience was frustrating and unfair.

I recently had to bring my dog, Mango, to the emergency because he ate used tampons! I was lucky enough to get my dog to this location and get checked so quick. We were fortunate enough to have Mango induce vomit the tampons. The team there was really nice and informative. The person who talked to us( wife and I) explained the whole process and kept us calm. Even though the Vet was occupied with another critical case, they called me later in the night to follow up with any concerns or questions we had. Thanks again to the team.

Dr. Cotton and the entire team provided superior care and service to my granddog. They were thorough in their explanation and the steps needed to correct the stomach issues my dog is facing. Blue Pearl for the WIN!
