How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Old Growth Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Yesterday i had to take my cat in because she needed an ultrasound and hospitalization. Not only were they able to get her in last minute when no one else could, she got to come home in just 24 hours. She didnt look scared or cold. She screamed happily when i picked her up. I commuted from west seattle to bring her here and it was worth it. The facility is beautiful. The staff is caring. The medical knowledge everyone holds is outstanding. I've been working in the vet field for over 11 years. This is the first place i would bring my pets to for any emergency needs. Thank you Old Growth.

I cannot sing their praises enough! My dog impaled himself in the stomach jumping over a pile of brush early in the evening. Unlike most vet “hospitals” in the area, they don’t close at 6:00 pm and they actually have vererinarians on staff 24/7. Their prices were incredibly reasonable, they take care credit and they did a fabulous job. When I struggled with his care after bringing him home, I called them at 11:30pm to ask questions, and an actual medical vet tech came to the phone to talk with me. They are filling a critical need within this community and they do it exceptionally well.

My mom had to find an emergency vet to bring her very sick 14+ year old pug into on Saturday. She found Old Growth online and gave it a shot. All of the staff was very friendly. The veterinarian and assistants were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Unfortunately, they had to deliver some very heartbreaking news. I can confidently say that i have never in my life experienced the level of kindness and compassion that I experienced with these folks. They seem to truly care on such a human level that is unfortunately rare nowadays. I would never go anywhere else.

The nicest ER vet clinic that I’ve taken my dog to. The staff were incredibly friendly/competent. My dog, Huckleberry, tends to be very loud and she doesn’t always get warm welcomes at vet clinics. Not so with this clinic. They were extremely kind to my dog. It was refreshing, particularly when many of these ER vets are so streamlined now. My thanks to the staff!!!!
