How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Custer Road Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My parents always took our animals here. They have always been nice and affordable (at least back in the day, I can't speak for now). They saved a few of my animals over time from various infections or injuries. I recommend them.

This use to be my go-to clinic. But nobody ever answers the phone anymore. I have had 3 emergencies over the last year and I have yet to talk to anybody. They don't even return phone calls when you leave a message. How can a doctor be of any service to the public when you can NEVER get a live person on the phone.

Or rescue just started using this vet and so far we are very happy with the service and care our pets have received. It is out of our way but we are willing to come here to get great care. The cost is great too. We take on many pets that need extensive vet care so how much we spend is critical to us.

My dog had what turned out to be an irritated eye ulcer. They were very accommodating and managed to squeeze into their very booked schedule. Not many veterinarians would do that. Thankfully, he won't lose his vision and is on the mend. I'm so very appreciative. Thank you so much! 😊

My husband and I, our dog, and 2 cats love Dr. DeCent and the staff at Custer Vet. We came here after having been clients at another more costly clinic in the area that felt to us like they pushed unnecessary tests on our cat. We decided to try other vets in the area and have been pleased with this clinic. Since then, we've adopted a dog, and it was an obvious choice for us to continue our animal care at this location with her as well. Highly recommend.
