Without doubt the worst experience I've ever had with a vet.Last weekend our small dog started throwing up repeatedly after a walk. We called our vet back in Seattle, and they recommended we see someone on-island if it continued. Animal Inn was the only clinic with Saturday hours. We called twice and left a message each time but were not called back. We decided we would drive over for the 4 pm opening of evening hours and see if an appointment might be available. We waited in our car to respect Covid 19 precautions until a vet tech approached us. She was gracious and said she had passed our message on to the vet, who she thought could see us soon. She asked us to wait on the deck. A few minutes later Michelle Loftus approached, mask hanging off her ear, and angrily ordered us to put our dog in the car. She said she couldn't risk infection of her other animals without bothering to find what was wrong with our pet. As she ordered us off the property, she barked an order to the vet tech to disinfect the deck where we had been told to wait. Her total lack of compassion and kindness was appalling. Late the next day our dog's vomiting resolved with no further problems; clearly he had ingested something toxic and wasn't contagious at all. I would never let Michelle Loftus anywhere close to any animal of mine.
