Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

I had been looking for a vet that I could connect with! I took a chance and struck gold. They are efficient and kind and straight forward. But more importantly they take the time to get to know you and your pets! We took on our cat today and had a tech ask us how our dog was by name! We found our home! Thank you for the extra special service today. :)

It’s always nerve wracking finding a new vet after moving, but I’m SO glad I picked this vet based on the reviews. They were booked months out for new patients, but I was very concerned my dog might have a worsening infection on her leg, so they squeezed her in for a same day appt. The staff was super thorough and immediately got all her old vet records, reviewed them, and even texted about pre-medication before the appt based on those records, all with last minute notice. Dr. Walls was absolutely wonderful and took his time sitting on the floor with her and gently examining her, then explained in detail how her body was rejecting a years-old implant and what options we had for treatment. He and all the staff were extremely compassionate and thorough, and I’m so grateful they agreed to see us last minute. They’re absolutely worth driving across town for, and I’m so glad to have found a wonderful vet here for my pups!

I have been taking my pets to VCA Covington for years and love the way they treat me as well as my pets. They are extremely helpful with questions and provide additional information if requested. They are a great place to take very good care of your animals who for most are just like family.

We've only had one experience with the VCA Covington and that was when we found a loose dog and were trying to find it's owner and needed to see if they knew the dog or could scan it's chip. They were overall friendly and they tried to be helpful.

My pets have only seen Dr. Walls, and I've been very impressed by his knowledge, patience, and caring. He was the vet for my 2 geriatric rabbits, 14 and 11 years. I had prior negative experiences elsewhere, and as a result, had anxiety during appointments. But he was only understanding and kind towards both me and my bunnies. They both have passed from old age/cancer, now. I'm grateful that they had good medical care at the end. He provided about a year of excellent care. Good rabbit vets are normally difficult to find, as rabbits are considered "exotic" pets, and have unique differences/needs for their care. As such, I highly recommend him if you have bunnies and/or other small mammals, such as guinea pigs. He mentioned having guinea pigs as pets, and I'm positive he'd be wonderful in treating them as well. My guess is that cats and dogs would also receive fantastic care here, and that the other vets here are good as well. However, given the difficulty in finding good veterinary care for bunnies, and my gratitude in finding Dr. Walls for that, I'm underlining his expertise in treating them specifically.
