How to Save on Veterinary Costs at South Fork Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

New to Washington and had to put our oldest down. We had no knowledge of vets in the area. The vet was so amazing to me, my husband, and our fur baby. We got in right away. The receptionist was awesome. Their fees (especially their cremation fee) were amazingly low. Got snowed in at our place and they had no problem keeping her ashes a little longer until we could get in a couple of weeks later. Would definitely go back.

Dr. Roden is simply an amazing man and vet. He's been our family vet for as long as I remember and I'm in my thirties! I highly recommend his services and I personally won't go anywhere else.

Dr. Rosen is an awesome country Vet. Kim the receptionist is a very compassionate and intuitive lady. Only down side is the clinic is only open half a week. If you are able to plan ahead, this clinic can't be beat!

We so appreciate Kim and Dr. Roden. They are very kind to each and every animal and are very able to help get animals, even homeless or lost ones, the care they need. I've been in with probably a dozen foster animals or pets to be neutered or spayed and vaccinated, or who had injuries, and Dr Roden and Kim have been just terrific caring for them. They know how to maximize the resources available to meet the individual needs of the animal, they explain everything very carefully, they're usually able to get us in within a very short time, and they don't waste fees on glossy advertising or fancy waiting rooms. An all-around competent, caring, efficient, and friendly veterinary practice, and we are so grateful! Thank you for everything!

Came in for rabies shot. They took me right away and I was out of there. Later called with concerns about our dogs rear mammary glands hanging when she hasn't had pups in months. The lady who answers the phones questioned us and led us to examine her ourselves to figure if all was normal. She determined it was all normal and to just watch it. Any other vet would have said to bring her in. Thanks SF vets. It's not all about the money. We'll be back.
