How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Dorset Street Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This is the animal vet hospital you should go to first. I went to VEG first - was treated rudely and was quoted twice the price that I was quoted at Dorset Street Animal Hospital. Better care better customer service. Save your time and money and head here first.

I was sent to DSAH for emergency surgery on my 2 year old cat, Smalls. From the moment I walked in, I was important and my situation was their priority. The price per service and quote is clear and transparent, there are no surprises. Since being discharged, I have emailed questions and within minutes either a Dr. or tech called me to answer my questions. I am only 3 days out from surgery and I feel I can call them or email them as many times as my panicked heart desires! This place has amazing staff and we have our Smalls home and recovering because of their skills and talent! Forever grateful-Thank you!!

Was a positive experience overall. Clean, everyone was very friendly, great with our pup who was very nervous. Minus the details of getting DOB of pup incorrect and a couple small details, we were put into a room immediately, saw a tech promptly and vet within 30 minutes. In and out in hour I believe. No over the top blood work, tests etc like I have experienced at other vet ER's. Complete opposite experience from BEVS. Thank you.
