How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hanover Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Have always had a good experience with the care here. Multiple dogs over multiple years including most recently some extra care with a new very anxious, hyper and untrained dog. They went above and beyond to get us into a room with minimal distraction from other people or dogs, did their best at a quick examination and were able to get him the first round of puppy shots we figured the previous owner neglected to do. He's been working with an excellent trainer so hoping for a less dramatic experience on the follow up...

My elder dog was sick, called during business hours 8:15 am to make an appointment, no answer. Waited 20 mins called again, no answer so left voice message. An hr went by with no returned call so called again, still no answer. Decided to drive there and immediately I could feel bad energy from the two ladies at the counter . Asked to be worked in to see a doctor and that I have been trying to call and left a message but they didn’t have an answer to why I was being ignored. Told them I have a sick dog, and response was we are all booked up. They didn’t check with the assistant or anyone to see if they can work it in sometime, just received an oh well attitude. It was like they didn’t care. It was sad it broke my heart. I Didn’t see one customer in the waiting room nor heard any animals. If this place has a staffing issue you need to fix it or close the doors bc you are worthless without doctors. As a customer for many many years, never had these issues. Left went to Rutland Animal Hospital as a new customer and they were so friendly from the start and squeezed us in that day and took great care of my dog ! They were so busy and still able to see my dog. I do not recommend Hanover Animal Hospital to anyone.

No compassion at all, they only care about money, I took my dog there and he has been clipped, I called them back and they want to seek me a medicine for the problem that they caused to my dog, I will never come back to that place…. They charge you extra for same tests many times even when you did not ask for it and it’s not relate to the problem

This is a horrible place, they have alot of 18-20 year Olds that don't care about your pet/s never ever leave your pet here alone, these people make 15,000 a year and don't care about your pet/s. Remember a pet or loved animal will never be able to tell you they were hurt during the visit unless you are there with the pet. It's some family ran place, so you already know they are lazy, and mommy and daddy will cover for anything. This is just from what I've seen and it's just my statement. They are also trying to scam people with false monetary transactions. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, if you don't care and think they do a good job, by all mean keep going there, but this is what my years of experience proved with this family ran torture and scam place.
