I am so glad this practice is finally open! I have been a member at Small Door for over a year now, so getting a new location in the McLean area is so exciting. The entire team (from the doctor and nursing team, to the front desk, to the practice manager) were all so lovely and the office itself is gorgeous. The VA community is so lucky to have this level of veterinary care in the area!

Such a great experience at the new Small Door in McLean. The vet and nurses were outstanding and spent so much time with us. We got all the labs and tests done onsite and left with prescriptions. So easy and convenient! Stress free for our dog and reasonably priced!

It's always a little scary going to a new vet for both the pet and the owner. Have no fear the staff at Small Door McLean are wonderful. For a first visit I couldn't have asked for more - took time to know my pet, hear my concerns, walked me through what they were doing and why, did a nice job of explaining recommended treatment and costs. I look forward to seeing everyone at Small Door again.

I brought my kitten in for her first visit and the entire experience was incredible. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and so gentle with her. The space itself is beautiful—clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed, which immediately put me at ease. The vet took their time explaining everything, answering my questions, and made sure my kitten (and I!) felt totally supported. It’s clear they genuinely care about the animals they treat. I left feeling confident and grateful to have found such a wonderful place. We’re officially clients for life!

Our first visit to Small Door was great. The veterinarian was easy to relate to and the visit provided a lot of information that our previous vet did not address. Best of all was the communication: after the visit we received a letter from Small Door summarizing the findings and proscriptions for care moving forward. We highly recommend Small Door!
