I’ve been bringing my two cats here for a few months. Dr. Grace Snyder and the rest of the staff here are so incredibly kind and caring! I love bringing my cats in to see them. My poor little kitty ended up testing positive for FLV and they’ve been so accommodating. You won’t find a better place to take your loved ones. Thank you North Oatlands for everything you’ve done for my little family ❤️

The animal hospital has a new young veterinarian, Dr. Snyder. She is a breath of fresh air! She conveys her empathy and concern and is a wonderful communicator. Unfortunately, we got word that our cat has cancer and not long to live. However, Dr. Snyder has worked with us and followed up by phone to make certain our cat is getting the follow-up care to make him comfortable and to enjoy life to the extent he can. It is working! Dr. Snyder also went to the veterinary journals to determine the most up-to-fate regimen. I am impressed...and know that North Oatlands has hired a shining light who demonstrates sound ethical care. She has added to our lives and our cat's.

We love this place. My husband and I have been in separately and together and each time have only had pleasant experiences. We had to put our incredible 12 year-old boy down last July and while it was certainly tragic bc we loved him dearly, they treated Hank with the utmost compassion and care. The techs were especially kind to my little one (6 years last summer), and explained with a stuffed animal what had been done to Hank, what medicines he was on, etc... at a very kindergarten level, so she would better understand and all of the equipment attached to him wasn't so scary. Our other boy is also very well loved and cared for by all of the staff members and loves to be boarded there.

We wanted to wait until moving to write this review and ensure it was not one based on emotion but one based on the actual experience. Like others have stated, the clinics most recent bedside manner is horrific. One of the vets very much uses shame to make you feel as though you are a horrible owner, and then when asking them how you can be better, they give you no tangible recommendations. They recommended we feed our dog a raw food diet as I quote”dry food is the lazy way out”. I asked them for book recommendations or brands of food they would recommend as they are the expert, they send me dry food recommendations. During this same visit we had our dog undergo approximate 5 vaccinations and afterwards the vet decided to do a heart rate check. During this they stated they believe they heard a heart murmur. When I asked how this had not been identified earlier and asking if this is a genetic issue, she was very dismissive. She then highly recommended we have tests done that would result in a $300+ vet bill. They found nothing. My recommendation is to stay away and find a vet who truly cares about your pet. Not one that appears to use shame and emotional manipulation to get money from you.

Really nice facility and the staff really enjoyed my puppy. His ear cropping looked great and was sent home with good informative instructions for aftercare. The ladies at the desk were very nice and welcoming and talked you though what needed to be done. Only place they lose a star is the vet here talked down to us as if we didn’t know anything saying our 8 week old puppy needs training for being rowdy (duh he’s just a baby though that we’d only had for 16 hours at this point) and saying he will be dangerous when he’s bigger because he’s a Cane Corso. I understand she was trying to be informative and help us avoid problems in the future, but she had a very condescending tone when doing so and came off very rude. Otherwise everyone else was super nice and he loved to play with all the staff while he was there.
