How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cabin Point Equine Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Dr. Drake was absolutely wonderful! She was caring and compassionate. She was able to figure out what was wrong with Dino our Great Dane, who is very nervious and full of energy and he even tried to bite her but she was so good with him! All the staff at Dr. Cup's were great and very helpful. They made me and Dino feel like royalty! Highly Recommend!

Dr. Cupp and his staff truly care about animals. They are honest and fairly priced for the services they offer. They are extremely busy and try to work everyone in as quickly as possible. Emergencies can be difficult due to the busy schedule but they will refer you and even make a call to help get you in someplace else. They don't have weekend hours and they don't care for horses or other livestock any more. We are all sad about this but Dr. Cupp served this area for a long as he could. I'm looking forward to him bringing on another vet in the practice that can handle horses and livestock in the future. If you know anyone looking please send them..... all of us horsey folks would love that! I greatly value the expert care and advice given to me by Dr. Cupp and his team. They have cared for my horses, dogs, and cats. You will love this vet I'm sure! Give them a try if your looking... you won't be disappointed! Thanks Dr. Cupp!

Put a bad review on here earlier this week and it’s gone .SO. last week my husband and I brought our German Shepard puppy 9 months old in to get him established to the practice it’s closer to our home the ladies were nice but when Dr Drake came in the room he barked once to say hey she slid back away from him like he was going to attack her she actually coward from him have never seen a Dr behave this way before she was not in the room more then 2 minutes when she said to go further with this appointment he would needed to be sedated. I told her that was not an option. She barely touched him and coward 2 more times during this appointment .
