The doctors and staff at slate River Vet are the best . Kind, thoughtful, professional, very helpful and understanding the needs of the animal and the client. prices are very reasonable whenever I’ve needed them . whether it’s on a holiday, off hours or an early morning call they have always been there and been very helpful. My cats my dogs and my horses have been seen by them and I would honestly not take them anywhere else . As busy as they have be come they always work you in. I thank you kindly for your generosity.

The waiting room is overcrowded, and designed for only a few animals, so management could use some tweaking. The office overbooks on a regular basis. Margaret the receptionist has the angry demeanor of a tollbooth worker. My dog had been a patient there for 11 years. She was euthanized by Dr. Auten and we never even got a sympathy card, but we did get screamed at by Margaret. It was devastating and demeaning. The vets and staff otherwise are very nice. basis.
