Our cat needed i-131 treatment for his thyroid. During each appointment leading up to his i-131, the staff was very helpful, professional, and kind towards both us and our cat, even when our kitty was difficult and reactive during his visits. Dr. Renkin patiently answered all of our questions about some of our cat's results and helped us feel confident in proceeding with the i-131 treatment. I was especially nervous for the extended multi-day stay as our cat received the i-131, but the staff sent pictures and positive updates each day. We were touched by multiple staff members coming to see him off when we picked our cat up at the end of his stay. Overall, something that seemed very scary for both us and our cat ended up being a positive experience, and we are grateful our cat had access to this type of treatment at the hands of amazing people. Our only wish is that we could come to Sage Veterinary Imaging with all of our veterinary needs.

This is the hardest review I’ve ever had to write. My dog went in for imaging on 10/29. I relayed info to them that last time several years ago he didn’t snap out of it very quickly and it worried me. The front desk lady said they would run full bloodwork and xrays to make sure he was healthy enough to go through with it. She also said she would relay the info and maybe use different pre-anesthesia drugs as that can cause some issues. I picked my dog up that afternoon from the clinic. They said he did great and came right out of anesthesia. I took him home and laid with him on the couch for the day letting him rest on the couch. He didn’t move until the next morning. I took him out to go potty and he peed blood. I relayed this info to the vet, along with him not eating or drinking, they said “that’s concerning, we didn’t use a catheter. He did have plenty of fluids though so he shouldn’t be dehydrated. Monitor him for a couple days and see your vet if it persists” He started drinking water and wanting to go out every hour or so with a few drops of pee (no more blood). He still couldn’t walk, I had to get a special harness to help him stabilize and walk with him. He was a shell of a dog. It seemed like he was brain dead. We went to a vet on 11/2, 4 days after the MRI. They gave him more fluids, an appetite stimulant and anti nausea medication. He ate very small amounts of food after that. On 11/4 I called the vet back saying he seemed bloated and not getting better, they wanted him admitted for the day and to do more bloodwork. That’s when they told me many of his levels were so high they wouldn’t even read. Everything was askew and he was in acute kidney failure due to toxicity from the MRI and would have to be put down that day. My vet communicated with Sage and they tell me this is somehow UNRELATED. So the day before he’s hiking, running around, playing, and the next he’s a shell of what he once was. The first photos are of him 2 days before. The next are the day after. SAGE did bloodwork the day of and said he was healthy- also that they didn’t see much on the MRI and did much more than they originally intended, which leads me to think he was out longer than he should have been or had too much dye, just so they could find something. Who knows, it doesn’t matter now. Paying $4,400 to them to kill my dog was not something I would wish on anyone. Plus the thousands from the other vet. The last week of his life was torturous and miserable. The greed and lack of accountability is out of control in today’s world. It’s taken me a week to even be stable enough to gather my thoughts and write this all out. You stole my best friend.

The techs were so sweet with my dog and made me feel comfortable leaving my little guy with them for a few hours! The doctor explained things really well and ensured I understood what was happening and what to expect for next steps.

Sage Veterinary Imaging took wonderful care of our Penny pup (and us!) during a really difficult day when we were told Penny likely had a brain tumor. I was a nervous wreck the entire MRI, but Sage kept us updated continuously about how she was doing and treated us with empathy and compassion. Once they were sure there was no brain tumor, they immediately came out and let us know the good news before finishing up the MRI which was a massive relief. They kept in constant contact with our vet the whole time, which was so helpful. After finding nothing concerning in the MRI, her vet recommended doing a spinal tap and Sage was able to do that right after the MRI, preventing us from having to drive down again for another appointment and preventing Penny from having to be under anesthesia twice. Because of Sage's willingness to get all the imaging done same day, we went home that night with a tentative diagnosis and treatment plan. Penny made huge improvements by the next day! Sage's facility is calm and clean and the staff is very kind and caring. Penny could barely walk at the time, and they were so gentle and sweet with her. We are forever grateful for Sage and recommend them to anyone needing imaging done on their fur baby!

The staff and doctors were amazing. They got my dog in the same day due to the urgency of his situation. The doctor was able to explain the results in a way I could understand and was willing to go through all options with me. I highly recommend them.
