How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Ben Lomond Animal Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love how they are willing to give advice over the phone and they do not automatically say, you have to bring your pet in and be charged a fee for a visit before I can give you advice. It has always been sound advice that has helped my dog and has saved me a lot of time and money. Years before finding this vet, I paid $1,500 to get my dog's swollen ear repaired, and then lots more to figure out it was being caused by allergies. Sitting in the waiting room at Ben Lomond years later, for something completely different, I overheard the vet tell a woman her dog had the same issue (cauliflower ear basically) and that he could do surgery on it but it could be pricey. He said it could be anywhere from $200-$300. I was like.....WHAT!?! THAT IS A STEEL COMPARED TO WHAT I PAID AT MY OLD VET! I'll never go to another vet again. The others all seem like crooks to me now

This veterinarian gave my daughter hope about her baby... he checked her out and didn't charge her. And told my daughter that her dog was going to make it and not listen about her dying..... his practice is small so couldn't do the surgery, Baby Girl needed a hospital. Kindness, compassion and truthful what great qualities... bless you.

I have really had a hard time with animal clinics... from having my dog die 2 days after being fixed .. to my very mild tempeted dog becoming so scared from something that happened to her after dropping her off to have a precedure she would hypervenalate to point of passing out still dont know what happened... I actually never wanted to deal with any animal clinics again ... they charge so much and all seem to only care about money... Then i went to Ben Lomand Animal clinic with my moms cat and i also took my dog there ... they have restored my faith in humanity ... doctor is so understanding and good with the animals... and this is the first place i actually feel they just do it because they love the animals and allways so willing to help people out when they cant afford what every other clinic wants. I will never go anywhere else.. this is a wonderful place to take your pets.. they are great!!
