How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Western Hills Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I hate seeing this clinic close. Dr. Rourke is one of a kind. I've been using him as my vet for over 2 decades and his knowledge, care, prices and compassion for not only for his fur baby patients, but for the owner of all the fur babies is unmatched. I can only hope to find someone as exceptional as he was...is. Enjoy your retirement good sir, it's well earned.

Dr Rourke is one of a kind. I can’t say enough about his style of care and ability to facilitate it. I was a vet tech about 10yrs ago and he’s the most both realistic and reasonable doctor I’ve found. He has helped me and my pup a great deal.

I owe the Dr everything for saving my boy's life. I had taken him to 3 different vets and all of them misdiagnosed my boy. The Dr figured out what was wrong with him quick. Took him home and 4hrs later my boy was up walking, eating, and drinking water again. He was near death, but he's doing better now.
