How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Fort Worth Animal Emergency Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

When my pup started vomiting at 4am I called and was told they had a lot of patients and they referred me to 2 other emergency clinics that could maybe get me in sooner. After just not vibing with the other clinics, I called back and Miranda F to the rescue! She is so knowledgeable and knew just what to ask and told me to bring him in. We arrived shortly before shift change and she told the Tech that she had already set up for x-rays and blood collection and they quickly took him back. When I met with the Vet, she showed me the tests they ran and where he had tested positive (twice) for Parvo. I left him there and ALL the staff from the Techs to the Vets were so great in keeping us informed and even said he was doing so much better that he could probably come home the next day if everything kept going well. Mr. Beans had other plans…around 4am the following morning after they had just checked on our sleeping angel, he managed to get around the cone and access his IV line and eat it! The Vet called immediately and we discussed the next steps of watching, hoping, and praying that it would pass out of his stomach without the need of scoping or surgery. Thankfully by the next day it had moved thru and we could go pick him up. They even cheered once we got him home and I called to report that he pooped and the tubing came out! I can’t say enough thanks to all who helped us get our boy back home even though we secretly think he likes all the attention he gets and eats stupid stuff so he can go back. Thankfully I do have pet insurance but emergency veterinary care is costly and justifiably so. These people work 24/7, 365 days a year and are not there just giving vaccines or check-ups…they are providing critical care for animals that can’t communicate their needs. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!

Unfortunately our dog Pacha had terminal cancer and had to be put to sleep Christmas morning. It was heart wrenching but the staff made everything as pleasant as possible. We had no wait time and were placed in a clean room where the vet was able to do the job quickly and peacefully. I appreciate their level of service at such a difficult time.

We unfortunately needed to put our 12 year old golden retriever down, we were able to get back very fast. The vet and staff were amazing and compassionate through such a difficult and sad process. Im sad Tebow is gone but i am glad we found such a loving place towards animals.

This place is amazing. They were able to get my old weenie dog in for an exam right away when she started showing signs of nausea and discomfort. She’s 18 so anything can be a big problem potentially. Everyone at the front were very nice, the vet tech was friendly and super helpful, and the vet was able to answer some questions for me about her health and long term care. Overall a great experience.

I highly recommend this clinic for animal emergency care. The staff make you feel they care about all the animals that come through the door. They are very thorough with their diagnosis and discharge instructions. You leave the clinic with everything written out so you can reference the instructions later. The clinic is also very good at keeping their services reasonably priced.
