We LOVE this vet. Worried about being financially able to do certain treatments for your animal? They will discuss the cost for everything they want to do for you and your animals and plan out the visits. They will answer any worry you may have and look into everything for you. We have had good vets in the past but this vet is one you will remember! Friendly. No judgement zone even for the silly questions you may think if you don't have enough knowledge! HIGHLY recommend. Also cute pic of my dog just because 🤷♀️

Last week our beloved dog of 15 years suffered a tragic accident while in the care of our pet sitter. She took him to Bluegrass to have him cremated. He was wrapped in his blanket that she asked them to keep for me. So today when I went to pick up his remains I was informed that they threw his blanket away! The receptionist was callus and unsympathetic not to mention she lied to me when she said that the person that brought him in said to throw the blanket away as it was "in bad condition" which was totally not true. Anybody that's ever lost a pet knows the unbearable heartache you go through and you want to hang on to any little item that belonged to them. While I can't speak to the vet care based on my one and only interaction with this clinic I would never bring my pet here.

I’ve only been in a small number of times for my little bearded dragon Dregoth, but every time has been wonderful as an overly doting pet owner. Dr. Zimmerman has been incredibly attentive, informative, and detailed with her wellness exam and general treatment and I’ve felt very confident my girl has been in good hands. It’s very difficult in this area to find a knowledgeable reptile vet nearby that gives you a good experience and I’m very grateful to have found Bluegrass for her.

I took my cat for his first visit here as a new patient and Dr. Zimmerman and his technicians were awesome! They took time reviewing his records and all of my concerns. They are also helping set me up with a cat cardiologist. The prices are reasonable and it was easy to schedule a visit. Definitely recommend for your local pets in the Gallatin area.

We love Dr. Zimmerman and Bluegrass Vet! I have both a GSD and a cat and he always spends so much time loving on them and making their experience at the vet as happy and welcoming as he can. My GSD has had some recent health issues and Dr. Zimmerman is always very conscious about cost and realistic about diagnosis/treatment.
