I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Freeman and her team. My dog, Mila, suddenly went blind and was referred here for a neurologic workup. Dr. Freeman took the time to thoroughly explain what was happening, answered all of my questions, and helped me develop a treatment plan that was both effective and affordable. Thanks to her care, Mila’s vision has been partially restored and she is doing great. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Freeman’s expertise, compassion, and understanding during such a stressful time, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of a veterinary neurologist.

We brought our 5-year-old long-haired dachshund, Rosie, to Dr. Courtenay Freeman in the direst of circumstances—stage 5 IVDD with only a 50% chance of ever walking again. Having seen the miraculous outcome with our another dachshund under Dr. Freeman’s care over a decade ago, we trusted her expertise implicitly. From the moment Rosie went into surgery, Dr. Freeman and her team treated us like family and with extreme care. Dr. Freeman stayed by Rosie’s side all night, closely monitoring her progress, and called us first thing in the morning to report that Rosie had regained feeling in her legs. That early morning call lifted our spirits in a way words cannot describe. One month post-op, Rosie’s recovery has been nothing short of astounding. With dedicated physical therapy, she’s already showing strong, stable stances and taking many confident steps. Watching her rebuild strength day by day feels like witnessing a miracle unfold. We can’t say enough about the compassionate care at Lowcountry Veterinary Neurology & Surgery. From Dr. Freeman’s surgical skill and round-the-clock dedication to the warm support from every staff member, our experience has been exceptional. For anyone facing the heartbreak of IVDD, you couldn’t ask for a more caring, expert team—thank you, Dr. Freeman and LVNS, for giving Rosie her life back.
