Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

Called when my dog was acting strange and I was a bit upset bc I was scared, he’s my baby. I was sniffling, but no where near hysterical and she rudely told me to stop crying. I believe her name was Dr. Jackson. She asked me for all my information, and had me on the phone for about 15 mins, just to tell me they weren’t open. All while im trying to get my dog to be seen and not waste time. She asked questions regarding the drugs I have in the house and if I was on anti depressants. She said “I’m a vet, not a cop.” I did not appreciate her accusatory tone and persistent interrogation as I told her several times that I did not have drugs in the house. She kept asking again and again. Asking what narcotics I take and if I smoke weed. I felt extremely uncomfortable and bullied. I wouldn't let her go near my animal due to her rude attitude and for wasting my time while I thought my dog was going to have a seizure. I’m sure you see weed/drug ingestion often being a vet, but do not project that on me and treat me as an irresponsible dog owner. All while I’m calling emergency vets (which aren’t cheap) to do whatever I can to help my little guy. Just say you are closed next time.

Dr Jackson was simply wonderful with Macky. I called on a Sunday morning after my dog was having severe ear issues. Dr Jackson was so very kind and compassionate. She was patient and understanding and I was thankful for her help on a holiday weekend.

I left a piece of my heart with Dr. Jackson this evening. One of the most difficult moments of my life was making the decision to let my senior kitty go. Dr. Jackson took her time evaluating, answering questions and allowing me as much time as I needed to make the necessary decisions. After I made the heartbreaking choice, Dr. Jackson handed her over in a warm, soft blanket for my final goodbye. I could not have asked for a more compassionate ending! She treated my girl like it was her very own. Rest gently my love….

I’ve had nothing but incredible experiences with Bucks County Vets. Each call or visit has been compassionate, calming and excellent medical care! I had an urgent call to the office this evening, Dr. Jackson was kind enough to guide me through a stressful situation even though the office was closed.

I brought in my cat, that had appeared to have suffered a seizure and the attending veterinarian, Dr. Jackson, was calm, helpful and compassionate. My best kitty girl had died and Dr. Jackson examined her and was detailed in her explanation about the likely cause of death. Emergency clinics get a bad rap because they see us, both animals and humans, in crisis. It's a no-win situation. I have two kitties still healthy and if something happens after hours or on a holiday I would not hesitate to bring either of them to Bucks County Vets. Pic is my girl in her healthy glory.
