How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

We were in emergency a couple days ago but they denied our cat because they were full already. Next day when we took her back they gave us the wrong diagnosis saying that all she needed was to eat more and the hospital gave us something for anorexia then they proceeded to send us back home. Our cat's condition got worse the next day and it turn out she had a blockage that resulted to be fatal for our cat. They gave us two options for our cat: A $3000 surgery or euthanasia, we didn't have that money so they referred another hospital that was cheaper in Danville 1 hour away from us, they went through the surgery process and told us that the surgery was a success and that there was a possibility for her to recover but she sadly passed away a couple hours ago with no explanation. All this place care is about money

Best place to take your pet for emergency care. $300 deposit. After the waiting room, the doctor met with me and gave me three options, based on level of care (price). I then hoped to pick my sick cat up 48 hours later, but I was able to get her 36 hours later. The final price reflected the actual amount of time in care. I hope I never have to come back, but I will take any and every emergency here.

We were met with a welcoming atmosphere and the utmost respect from the staff last night. I wish I got their names because their tender work with our fur babies is so appreciated. Our 17 year old tabby cat, Oreo, was sick for a few weeks and progressively declining. We knew it was time, but making the impossible decision to euthanize is still never an easy one. Even though they’re not our regular vet, they took us right in. I don’t think I could handle it if it was planned in advance. We were provided with care, comfort, and most importantly, precious time with our first kitty before saying see you later. The mementos we received of our sweet boy were absolutely perfect and immediately got put on display when we arrived home. Words cannot describe how thankful and grateful we are for being given a good death and a peaceful journey across the rainbow bridge.

I brought my 12+ shih tzu, Louie, just before midnight on Saturday, not knowing what was wrong. Dr. Alyssa was thorough and explained alot to me that I needed information about. She and Kylie took very good care of us. Thankful to have a 24 hour ER service.
