If I could give zero I would… it was a Saturday and most vets are closed. I called because I was having an issue with my cat. He was throwing up and at first I thought it was a hairball, but it turned out to be something more anyways I called around and Dr. Mary was the only vet that answered the phone and she was even willing to meet me that day. I brought her my cat and she gave him a shot and an IV treatment in addition to some medicine that I wasn’t supposed to start until the next day not even 10 minutes after the appointment because I live very close my cat was limping his right back leg essentially was Just dragging along.. I called her and I told her what was going on and she goes “well. It shouldn’t be.” But it was she told me to call around 7 to 8 PM to let her know how my cat was doing and there was no change so I brought him back this time. My boyfriend came with me. I brought the cat in and at first she kept telling me my cat was a girl and that he was eight years old. He was seven and I assure you he was a male she also stated at one point that she couldn’t see, which was really alarming and she forgot that she stuck and injected him on the right side I assume maybe she accidentally had a nerve when I brought this to her attention. She became very defensive. I meant in no way to insult her, but I mean my cat wasn’t doing this until after we left her office, she was very rude. She essentially told me that it was my fault that he’s sick because I didn’t bring him sooner and that things like this happen to cats all the time they just go downhill very fast. This obviously upset my boyfriend and every time he spoke, she immediately cut him off and essentially just kept her focus on me she gave me more pills for him, but he didn’t get any better. We drove over an hour and a half to the animal hospital and it turns out my cat had cancer. He had a lump And the emergency room doctor allowed and she has no idea how the other doctor could’ve missed it. He also had a mass in his neck. Which again the vet at the hospital has no idea how Dr. Mary could’ve missed any of this. Unfortunately, we had to put our kitty down. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. He was my first fur baby and I loved him so much and I’m not entirely saying that this is Dr. Mary’s fault he had cancer regardless of what she did I just feel that she Was Unprofessional and clearly lack diligence, but then again my baby was sick and she was the only one that answered at the time so I put my faith in her. I don’t feel she’s a bad person, but the second visit around she raised a lot of concern with things she’s stated. I just wanted to share my overall experience.

I have been going to Mid-Valley Veterinarian Hospital for over 40 years, and the number of dogs Dr. Mary has treated, saved, and saw on an emergency basis, is far beyond counting. She is a brilliant vet, caring, and always puts the pet first. Her costs are reasonable, and she tries everything to heal a sick pet.

I called there on a Sunday and there was no answer but she called back. I told her what was going on, and she said to come in. We brought our cat there. She didn't give my cat an exam. She had me put her on the floor so she could see how she walked. All of her equipment was not sanitized. She gave my cat pain meds and antibiotic shot and sent her home with that. She said she wouldn't be in the office till Friday and that my cat should start to feel better by Tuesday. The week went by, and she just got worse. She couldn't even stand up. I took her to another vet,and she said she had neurological problems and probably had multiple strokes. I ended up having to put her down. I will never take any of my other cats to mid Valley Hospital ever again. I do not recommend it.

This hospital with Dr.R is a fantastic doctor. Saved 2 of my pet cats. Also did my parents 11 dogs. Shes amazing doctor credit, cash or check. Doesnt except care credit. Always reasonable when it comes to payment.

I loved the vet, I have to move and got a new excuse of being away for five weeks. Can’t access my dogs records. Paying rent in two places and some dog care expenses for overnight visits. I can’t bring dog into new apartment till the vet gives me records. The vet cost me over $3000 chasing her for five weeks. She has a new emergency every week. This is financially killing my family. I’m a single dad of two kids and lady is wrecking my life
