How to Save on Veterinary Costs at ZenVet
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour

Dr. Hatfield treated my 14 year old Standard Poodle, Lucy, for debilitating hip and back arthritis with acupuncture, massage and laser therapy. Lucy improved visibly after the first treatment and remarkably after 3 treatments. Today, she can go up and down stairs, jump in the car and chase a squirrel or two. In addition to the amazing results, I am very grateful to Dr. Hatfield for the compassion and optimism she demonstrated to Lucy and to us.

I took my dog Maggie, who is 14 1/2 years old to Dr. Hatfield to see if there were alternate treatment options to treat her skin disease. She was on chronic life long steroids before going to see Dr. Hatfield. Once seeing Dr. Hatfield and starting on herbal supplements, the steroid dose was able to be decreased and she is now on such a low dose with the Herbal medications that it is helping her liver values come down! All thanks to the herbal meds that Dr. hatfield recommended. We also started Maggie on Laser Therapy for her bad knees and that is helping her get around better and keep the inflammation down! Maggie is now comfortable and her skin issue is under control!
