How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pine Haven Veterinarian Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We adore each and every person in this office! The most kind, caring veterinary office that I have ever been to. We have been taking our animal here for 20 years.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They don't force services and products; just give suggestions and recommendations. My pets are always well cared for and accommodations are made when I arrive with my "temperamental" dog.

The receptionist was very uncaring and uncompassionate when I called for my senior dog whom I suspected had had a stroke. She refused to give me an appointment sooner than 2 weeks.

We are at our vacation home in Elk County and our lab (on leash) darted to a porcupine in our front yard. This was after 9 at night. She had a mouthful of quills. This was the first time we ever had to deal with a porcupine encounter. My husband and brother-in-law were able to remove them. Years ago, our neighbor recommended Pine Haven if we ever need one. I called and left a message that night. Received a call back before 8 the next morning. They asked if we were able to remove them and if we felt she needed to be seen. Once the Doctor got to the office, they discussed the situation and called back. Since we removed them, they recommended having our vet call in an antibiotic scrip locally. They called later that day to check on her.
