How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Animal Medical Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian
Choosing a veterinarian is an important decision for pet parents. A strong vet relationship is built on trust, communication, and understanding your pet’s individual needs.
Experience
Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Emergency Care Procedures
It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.
Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour
If available, touring the clinic can help you and your pet feel more comfortable before the first visit.

My little Chihuahua got an abscess in his front jaw and I was able to get a same day appointment to get him seen. Received the pink liquid antibiotics and he cleared up in a few days. Upcoming appointment to extract the culprit in January. Amazed at how affordable the cost was. Being from California you can't even be seen for what this entire visit and meds cost. And my dog hates everybody except us but he never growled at this staff nor become petrified when taken to be weighed. Very pleased.

my cats eye was swollen and my usual vet clinic was booked along with others nearby. animal medical clinic made an appointment for my cat the next morning. staff and vet were kind and gentle with him when he was very scared.they found and removed a foxtail in his eye and sent us home with medication and eye ointment. he recovered fast and had no issues after. they were also surprisingly affordable compared to other vets in town

I made an appointment on the 23rd to get my cat fixed, they said monday the 30th at 9 AM. I show up at 8:30 to get my cat checked in and get him settled and all that, i noticed there wasn’t any cars in the parking lot and i decided to call, they didn’t answer and i stayed until 8:45 and nothing. VERY unprofessional and i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, this place can’t handle showing up on time, DO NOT trust them with your beloved pet.

Horrible care. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would! Took my pit here in an emergency situation and less than a week later it's infected and it doesn't look like they cleaned the wound prior to giving sutures. I paid a good amount of money for the emergency visit and now I'm having to get a second opinion from another vet. I will never take my fur babies here again!

All of the front desk staff, technicians, and Doctor were very friendly and very kind to our pup. I felt everything was priced fair and will continue to bring our furbabies here.
