Preventive care

I take my 2 French bulldogs and my orange indoor outdoor tabby cat here. They have been great with my animals. Between wound care allergy care and basic health questions they have been great. busy clinic so scheduling is a Little tough but they do have a cancellation list so if you do get scheduled out a few weeks they can out you on the list in case someone cancels you can take the spot. Very convenient.

A couple months ago, my boyfriends cat wasn’t breathing normally, and was very lethargic. We were scared there was something seriously wrong with her so we took her to this place hoping they could shed some light on the issue. They got her in a ventilated cage and called us in. They said she was probably going into respiratory failure and asked for $1500 to run tests…I knew emergency vets were expensive but we literally didn’t have the money. So against their recommendations we gathered our cat and took her home. The next day we took her to a regular vet. They said her breathing was a little struggled, but not to the extreme like this vet told us. It turns out she had a bone eating tumor on her spine. It was only about 600 dollars for multiple vet visits. We eventually had to let her go because the pain was too much for her. But needless to say, I am not happy with this vet. My aunt herself is a vet and was furious when I told her how these people handled the situation. Between lying and telling us the cat was going into respiratory failure and the money…not worth it. If you can, I would recommend either going to a different hospital or if it’s something that can wait, go to your regular vet.

I am really disappointed in the care my cat received. We have been in to VCA delta around 3 times. I have expressed concern about the condition in his mouth- this was always written off as being gingivitis. I went to another veterinarian and she instantly knew it was something much more serious just by looking at his body. My poor boy has been suffering for the past few years because he was not being taken seriously. I am disappointed in the care and don’t recommend coming here, the information the vet gave me cannot be trusted.

Redden and I were greeted by April in such a friendly manner we felt like regulars even though this was our first visit! Jennifer was wonderfully sweet and helpful with the initial portion of the visit and Dr Dave was incredible in administering Red’s shots. I VERY much appreciated being made to understand the possible procedures, and the pricing options available. I wish I lived near Eugene and could come here more often!

Absolutely loved the experience here. They were not biased towards my dog and his side/breed what so ever like other places I have been. They listened to any concerns, gave multiple options, and were super polite! They don’t seem like they’re just trying to get money from you. My dog was also super comfortable and happy here, unlike the two vets previous! Super clean place as well (:
