How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Central Oregon Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Clay has been a great veterinarian for our boys! They even take treats from her, which they never do at the vet. She is very gentle, kind, and knowledgeable!

Always a great experience. Dr. Chew and all the Techs and staff are welcoming and helpful. Always take time to answer questions and explain what’s happening with our dog. We’ve been a client for over 10 years and highly recommended them.

Dr Clay and her assistant were very thorough, caring and efficient. The front desk person however needs more training. She didn’t give me a receipt for my payment (I thought she would email it to me per request) nor did she notice the patient was a cat (asked me twice to weigh him on the scale at entrance, with 2 dog patients nearby). Nor did she give me heads up that my cat could be lethargic after the vaccines.

We are from out of the area and had an emergency with our dog. Central Oregon Animal Hospital got us in right away and took excellent care of our pup. They were kind, empathetic and got us on our way back home with our dog on the mend. Great staff - friendly and kind. If we lived near Bend, OR, Central Oregon Animal Hospital would be our 1st choice for veterinary care!

We’ve lived in Bend for a while but never had a regular vet. Our dog got really sick and we took him to the ER overnight and he was still struggling the next day so I called here and they got me in first thing that morning. Everyone was so helpful and caring and they took great care of our dog. They treated him like he was their own and made sure he was okay. This will be our new vet from now on. Very thankful for everyone here. Couldn’t recommend this place enough
