How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Emergency vet clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience
Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Emergency Care Procedures
It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.
Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour
If available, touring the clinic can help you and your pet feel more comfortable before the first visit.

We dropped a stray off at this vet, and wanted to know what happened to the stray. It looked like the stray got hit by a car, so we hurried and took it to a vet. I emailed the vet place asking what they did with strays, but they said they don’t take strays in. The person I was emailing was very dismissive of my concerns and told me to look at my city animal shelter. We didn’t drop him off at a vet in my city, so how would that even work? She wasn’t helpful and kind of rude. I know they had a stray because they took the stray in! The vet place asked if we wanted to pay for the stray, but we’re only bringing it to the vet, so he’d have another chance at life. Plus I’ve seen the reviews saying this place is expensive. I just want to know what will/what happened to the stray we dropped off and we met with being dismissed and unvalued. I’ve been looking at animal shelters in Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, and surrounding areas to no avail. If anyone has any information that could help me please send it!

They took very good care of my toy poodle. Being as small as she is, she is prone to hypoglycemia. She was sick and not eating, and her hypoglycemia was also adding problems for her. They immediately took her back and got her sugar levels close to normal. They watched her closely for that night and throughout the day. As well as providing her medicine to help her eat. All honesty, it is a bit of a higher price. However, it is worth it seeing my dog back to her normal self.

Very good experience here. Came in the middle of the night on a cross country road trip and they were quick to see and treat our dog. Everyone was kind and treatment was very reasonable. Couldn’t have had a better experience under the stressful circumstances. Recommend.

Very professional and very kind. Our 18 yr old husky passed on the weekend. They were extremely informative and helpful on what to do. They walked us through cremation and picking an urn for her ashes. Highly recommend. RIP Lily

The fact that whoever runs these google responses (on the other Google page for this same business) thinks that it is appropriate to comment on people's financial capabilities is such a tacky way to run a business. God forbid I have to bring one of my animals here and my animal pass away & someone thinking it's appropriate to comment on the financial aspect of the visit to save name rather than to express condolences & apologies. It's truly pathetic. I won't be bringing my animals here again after seeing these pathetic responses to some really vulnerable, upset, & VALID people.
