How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Syosset Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I no longer go here for my pet. I wish I could. He was so comfortable here. Long story short I had to call 3 times for test results. When your animal is sick it's hard enough but when you are ignored it's 1000 x worse. I had to stalk them for results. And I felt like they were always right there and ready to upcharge me for something else. Very disappointed. My vet for 7 years. In the end seemed they didn't care.

Located in Syosset NY, they are a great place to take your pets weather it be for check ups or illness. Friendly and compassionate staff that will explain everything to you. Had my Siamese cat neutered here and was very happy. I had called around to several vets and found there pricing to be very fair. Nice waiting room with a cool fish tank kept my kids entertained too. I would definitely recommend this vet office. *****My cat recently (Feb 15th 2019) had a big issue. Not eating and vomiting for 2 days. I brought him right in and Dr. Gothelf suggested a quick x ray that revield a blockage in my cats stomach. It was a foreign object and he needed to be treated immediately and have it removed. Dr Gothelf is so skilled that he was able to remove 9 thick hair ties and clumps of hair via scope, not having to cut open his stomach. My baby is now doing just fine!!! I am forever grateful to this vetrinarian hospital. Everyone who works there is just amazing!! ***

I have the most temperamental orange cat in the world. He absolutely hates having his toe nails cut, despite this both Dr.Gothelf and his flawless staff of knowledgeable and caring vet techs got my grumpy cat in an out and with no stress. I’ll 100% be coming back.

The team at Syosset Animal Hospital is beyond caring and kind. They are preemptive with care for my beloved dog Cody, and informative at all stages of his vet visits and updates. Syosset Animal Hospital is everything I've been looking for in terms of care for my pup. I always know Syosset Animal Hospital has my pets care and well-being at the forefront of every interaction. The Dr.'s are extremely informed on matters of canine health and available treatments on Long Island and around the world. Cody could not be in better hands. THANK YOU to everyone at Syosset Animal Hospital for always taking such good care of both my dog and me.
