I had to put my feline friend Inky of 18 years down recently. I am very pleased I chose Walker Valley Veterinary Hospital. The staff from Susan to the Vet Stephanie were all compassionate, caring and professional. There were different places I could have went to but I am so glad I came here. Thank you to all the staff.

Walker Valley Vet is the best. I took Buck for his annual visit and he was treated like a king. The entire staff was so nice to him. Doctor Stephanie was awesome.

The staff is amazing as well as the veterinarian. I had an emergency with my older male dog. I live in ellenville and had called every animal hospital/ vet in the area bc my dog was having trouble breathing. Every spot told me they didn’t have an appointment available or the emergency dept. wasn’t open until 6pm and this was around 11am. Walker valley vet was the only one who told me to come in immediately. They handled my dog with care and compassion. He ended up having cancer throughout and unfortunately we had to put him asleep. The vet and staff was so nice. When we picked up his ashes the staff had included a paw print in clay of my dog and also a small glass jar filled with some of his fur. Just that little bit of extra kindness meant so much to me and my children after loosing our dog of 13 yrs. If you want a vet that cares and just isn’t in it for the money this is the spot to go. I will be forever grateful for the service they gave my dog and I that day. I highly recommend this vet to anyone in the area.

Our three pups all visit Walker Valley Vet for all their veterinary needs. They are 12, 5 and 2 and mean the world to us. We wouldn’t trust them to anyone but Dr. Barnhorst and her staff. Thanks to the whole crew.

Can't speak highly enough about the team here - they are fantastic. The staff up front is always organized, communicative and kind. The vets and techs are always compassionate, understanding and patient. We're new in the area and I'm so grateful to have them nearby.
