I've had cats for 20+ years, and have been to half a dozen vets. This practice is the gold standard for animal care. Dr Gaylord has the nicest bedside manner. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and they're amazing at getting a pet in quickly. It's also super clean, and I've never said a vet's office was pretty but it's a calm, beautiful space. Bring your pets here for the best treatment around.

Nyack, you are so lucky to have Dr. Gaylord at Nyack Neighborhood Vet. He is the best- knowledgeable, caring, and is an amazing vet. He took care of my two elderly cats and dog. He presented a variety of treatment options when they became ill and was able to help me choose a reasonable care plan for each pet. He is kind and compassionate to animals and their humans. You couldn't pick a better place to take your pets than Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary!

Dr. Gaylord and his staff are incredible. Not only does the entire practice have a neighborhood feel that is just so welcoming (for pets and humans alike) but the actual treatment and bedside manner (yes - important for animals!) is unmatched. So glad this gem has come to our town!!

If you or a beloved family member is not feeling well what qualities do you look for in a doctor? Obviously, you want a doctor who is knowledgeable and competent. You want a doctor who has a good bedside manner. This is especially important if the patient is nervous. And you want someone who shows they care; someone who would spend the needed time in the examination room, and to talk to you afterwards. For many reasons this is getting harder to find, not the least is because corporations are buying up many private practices, both medical and veterinary. And they are run like corporations. It doesn’t matter if your beloved family member has two legs or four legs, you are looking for the same qualities in their doctors. Dr. Gaylord has all these qualities, and he is backed by an exceptional staff.
