How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Companion Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Very helpful and informative, even better their price for my dogs procedure came in way lower than any of the other quotes got. Bella was happy with the treatment she received. All in all, a great experience.

I was expecting a high bill and paid it. Just when I was leaving they said my dog needed more blood work. I was never told what the cost was going to be. I expected another 40 to 50 dollars. 160.00!! I was shocked. Also, was never told I could cancel the blood test before it went to the lab and get my money back. I thought that was pretty shady and underhanded. I've taken my pets there for 15 years...might be time to find another vet.

If I could give them a higher rating, I would. They were SO understanding and kind when my oldest dog passed away a couple weeks ago. Less expensive than "my vet" and we're very helpful and understanding.

I love this office, all of our pets were seen here. We didn't think we would ever adopt another animal. It is so hard to say good bye. Well we are getting a dog rehomed to us so I called about spsying our new girl. I will be calling today to schedule her spaying. I know it will be emotional walking in there but they always make you feel welcome and they care. Thank you for being amazing.

I have found all the staff at Companion Care to be very experienced and very compassionate with my 2 rescue 🐈, Louie and Oscar. When either of them became injured, Dr. Downey saw them. Under his Care, they both recovered quickly . I am glad to know that they are model patients. Oscar tends to be an escape artist. He is unusually curious! They keep him contained nicely. I think they do fine visiting. Their protests back and forth have to do with being in the 🐈 cats carrier. Thank you all for being Their vets !!
