How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cayuga Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They are the absolute best. They make my dogs feel comfortable during appointments even though they’re both anxious pups. Couldn’t recommend more.

This place is absolutely amazing. When we first got our rabbits one had an emergency of not eating/drinking for an entire day and no animal hospital in our local area (Syracuse) would take them or have someone who could help them. We drove to Cornell, where we were recommended by multiple other locations, and when we arrived they turned us away because we were from Syracuse. Cayuga Pet Hospital was the only place who had a vet who was willing to come in and stay late to take care of our boy. Thanks to them our rabbits are doing fantastic and we will never go anywhere else. The drive from Syracuse is more than worth it.

I feel very confident bringing my anxious cat here. The staff have all been very kind, informative, and patient. I appreciate that they take the time to explain services and their estimated costs up front, so I know exactly what to expect from each appointment. Their prices are very reasonable as well. They were even able to squeeze me in for an appointment today on short notice due to my own scheduling mistake. Thank you Cayuga Pet Hospital!

I have entrusted my cat with Cayuga Pet Hospital for the past four years and I can't recommend a better place for your fur babies. Dr. Bonnie and Dr. Wood are experienced and empathetic professionals, and the entire staff always treats my cat like she's their own. Highly recommend the Cayuga Pet Hospital if you're looking for reliable veterinary services in Tompkins County.
