Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Dr. Niesenbaum, the driving force behind this practice, is an absolute gem. One in a million. He is so diligent, kind-hearted, and brilliant on top of all that. He throws himself into the care of his patients without reserve. He is up to date on all the research and makes sure he presents all the options realistically. I feel so lucky to have found a vet that I know will give top quality medical care to our pets as well as personally caring for them. We also board our kitten with him when we go away and he is always happy and healthy when we return. Dr. Niesenbaum's assistant is also smart, friendly and organized. I love Great Neck Dog and Cat Hospital! It's a pleasure to bring our two Bengals there.

Dr. Nissenbaum is wonderful -- smart and kind and always responsive when you think of a question later on. I love the low-key environment, as it means my dog stays calm. He is actually happy to go in the door, as opposed to other vet offices where he knew he didn't want to be there and I would have to carry him in. Staff at this office also lovely and kind.

There isn't anybody that works at Great Neck Dog and Cat that I would not have work with me or my Service dog Gus. They have all gone out of their way to make both Gus and 100% comfortable with their skills, and compassion. Anybody looking for a vet would make a big mistake overlooking this gem.

I board my dog here. It is clean and my dog is always happy before and after boarding. He must be spoiled while he is here because he always expects the same treatment when I return.
