How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Arkwright Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Literally one of the worst and most disrespectful veterinarian I ever encountered in my life. I called to get a sick hog looked at and ended getting cursed out because she says she hates hogs. Then I decided to change the subject and asked if she could blood test a couple cows, and that's when she went RED. If you value your animals I would never bring them here. Maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she's just not cut out for caring for animals.

Called Arkwright Veterinary at 9:05am Monday giving Dr. Ball 5 minutes to be open. Straight to voicemail. I wait 10 minutes and call again, straight to voicemail. Our pet goat was bloated and needed some medicines only. I left my name number and short message explaining, that he just needed some medications. Dr. Ball calls me back a few minutes later immediately yelling at me to not call a million times, and that I should find a different vet if it's that important. Well I tried and couldn't find another vet and my goat died that day. Dr. VA ALL is a fake, who uses her past sickness as excuses. I have lost plenty of family to cancer and they would all be happy to be alive today. Some people and animals aren't so lucky to make it through.

Dr. Katie made an emergency barn call to my goat "Hank" because he couldn't breathe properly, was bloated and in distress. She was here quickly on a Sunday evening after leaving another emergency. If she hadn't come and knew what to do immediate I would have lost my beloved 10 year old bestfriend. Thank you Dr. Katie!
