Beyond RUDE and IGNORANT front desk. Very unfortunate because Dr. Adam Sniderman is a wonderful vet but his staff are subpar.

Nasty, condescending, rude front desk staff. I brought my cat in for an emergency visit (upon calling I was told "well this is going to be a problem"). Was greeted by serious attitude from the two women as they asked questions about my cat's intermittent condition, and one said "so your cat has been suffering since July?" and then rolled their eyes as I tried, through tears, to explain the situation. My previous vet of ten years, the wonderful Dr. Plance and his crew in Walton, had recently retired. This was the only vet within an hour radius accepting new clients. I now understand why. I asked for the wifi password to make a call, and the other woman begrudgingly gave it to me and said "Welcome to the Catskills" while snickering as if I were a clueless Citidiot. For the record, yes I am from the city: I also have spent the last ten years full time in Delaware County and have run a successful (and much more welcoming) business for the past 6 years. I couldn't help feeling like they were cruelly mocking me when what my cat and I needed was kindness. I know it's hard to get accepted as a new client at many of the vets up here, but it's worth your effort to avoid this place at all costs.

Update: First visit wasn't a "one off"- Dr. Adam is so wonderful with my sweet boy. In addition, he is informative, honest, and isn't out to "scare" you. I'm from Canada and waited until my visit here in NY to see this kind vet and his supportive and knowledgeable team.- Thanks for the help! Original: This is by far the best vet experience Hoodlum and I have ever had. Not only did I not feel over charged, but I feel like we were given excellent service and care at a discount. Dr. Adam sure has a love for animals that shows. Thank you to Dr. Adam and the Staff.
