How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Sahara Pines Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been a client of Sahara Pines Animal Hospital for many many years. I refer all my friends with pets to Dr. Dan who is the best in Las Vegas. I put my trust in him to give my guys the best care ever.

I primarily use Dr. Smith. She and her coworkers and other doctors at Sahara Pines (whom I have used when Dr. Smith is not available) are very compassionate besides being good vets. Prices are reasonable. Care is excellent. I have had an overall good experience.

I have been going to Dr Ulitchny to Sahara Pines Animal Hospital for the past 13 years with all my Old EnglishSheepdogs. I have only had good experiences with them.

The vibe in the office is calm and caring. Both my dog and I love it and feel relaxed. I have a healthy pet but like most of our fur family, she gets nervous going to the vet. The staff and docs are knowledgeable, caring and helpful. Dr. Pennell always discusses how my dog’s life/lifestyle is progressing. I feel confident my pets will get the best healthcare through all stages of life with Sahara Pines Animal Hospital.😇

Dr. Caley Smith is absolutely incredible. From the day I got Whiskey up until her surgery two days ago, Dr Smith has been a constant source of knowledge, warmth, and encouragement. She will be Whiskey's doctor for as long as I live in Las Vegas. There is truly no one better and no one that I trust more with my girl's care. Outside of the price for services(let's be honest, pricing for animal care is out of control), this is without question the only place I will take my dog for any major issues. Dr. Smith truly stands head and shoulders above any veterinarian I have ever worked with, past or present. She is absolutely incredible and, best of all, Whiskey adores her.
