How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Valley Ranch Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I’m EXTREMELY picking with who I allow to see my two pitbulls. One is an American Staffy and the other a Bull Staffy. Both very sweet girls. The doctors hear a Valley Ranch Animal Hospital take their time with you and answer every question you have. You don’t feel rushed. I think the prices are fair and they do not push services on you. Being a pit mom you will have not only people but Drs that will treat you different, that’s not the case with these Drs. So far I’m extremely happy and I really like Dr.Emilie Dours.

My dog was having long term issues with hair loss and the vet I was taking him to previously wasn’t giving me any answers. I was seeking a new animal hospital to get a second opinion and I picked this location based on many good reviews. When I took my dog here I had high hopes because the vet was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. She recommended $500 worth of blood tests to figure out what was wrong. I agreed and she said she would call with the results in a couple days. Nine days later I still hadn’t heard anything back so I called the office and they told me she would call back. I finally got a call back and the vet told me blood tests were normal so the hair loss could be caused by a couple other things but she had to do some research and would give me a call back later that week. Well it’s been more than a month later and I never got any calls back from the vet. It seems like the vet never cared about my dog and just wanted my money. Unfortunately I’ll be on the hunt for a new vet once again and won’t be bringing my dog back here.

I have been taking all my pets here for as long as I can remember. I have lost pets here. I have always been met with empathy, honesty and kindness. I moved a couple times and tried new places and was ripped off and treated like a customer. Here, they treat you and your pets like family. It’s nice to have them in our community. Thank you for the love and care you provide for our furry friends!! 🙏🏻❤️🥰 I haven’t switched my kitten to here yet because she’s not due for shots again yet but I will because it’s worth the drive even though we live in Inspirada now. That’s how much we love this vet!! Love Bear 🐻 the German Shepherd whom you’ve cared for lovingly for his entire life. Thank you!!
