How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Absolutely FANTASTIC Veterinary clinic. The techs and the vet herself were all incredibly friendly, very good with my cat, and explained everything to me very well. The receptionist/tech (not sure of her official title. I think her name was Maria.) was so pleasant and kind. I had a lot of anxiety because I worry about my furry buddy and this office made me feel at ease and like I was getting the best care for my little guy. Thank you! I live in Philly but will absolutely be transferring my kitties here moving forward.

Oh my god. WHAT A MESS!!!!! my first time here was crazy- I was waiting for 2 And a half hours WITH an appointment. I understand there are emergencies, And I would have wanted my dog to be seen first if I was there for an emergency, so I did not get angry about it. However, I was a little bit upset with the way they We’re trying to get me to pay for anything and everything for my dog. They made me feel like they only care about money, And not the health of my dog. When going there the second time only for a follow up vaccine- it was chaos from the minute I walked in. They were VERY unclear about the pricing last time I came for the first vaccine. I was also told because it was a “tech appointment” only- it was would be super quick- in and out. She specifically said I wouldn’t be waiting awhile since I didn’t even need to see the doctor. Not only was my appointment, an hour in total, but no one knew what they were doing. I’m assuming it’s a lot of new people here, which just says a lot about the place itself, but there’s no way these people were trained. First of all, the tech locked her self out of the room just before losing a customer. I was asked twice if I was the owner of another dog because they couldn’t find the owner. I felt like I was in a movie. Moral of the story- I would never trust my dog there again. (Head over to VCA down the street- your experience will be SO DIFFERENT)

Completely unprofessional. I asked so many questions over the phone to make sure all of the bases were covered. The guy who answered my call even spoke to a vet there to make sure that the timing of my appointment was okay with the services my dog needed. We came for the appointment and the girl at the front desk claimed I needed to reschedule. She argued with me and I felt disrespected so I left. Claimed to have called me and was nowhere to be found in my call log. Had to give my dog sedatives for absolutely no reason because they refused to see her. Would never trust this office with my dog after the behavior of their front of office staff.

If you want to use Vetco Total Care, PLEASE go to another location. In my opinion, Vetco as a company is great, but the people working at this location are unbelievably UNPROFESSIONAL. Every single time I've gone here, they make some sort of mistake. I'm generally an understanding and patient person. I understand that no company is perfect, but half of the time the mistakes have involved my dog's prescriptions, and I don't think it's worth risking her wellbeing when her wellbeing is the exact reason I'm visiting them. I call them and no one answers. I leave messages and get no call back. At this point I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. Please consider going elsewhere so you won't have to experience what I've been experiencing.

Wouldn’t take my beloved fur baby anywhere else. The staff is very friendly, patient, professional, and always amazing with our dog. There have been multiple occasions where we’ve had questions or concerns for Beckham. Dr. Bersch and the team always respond quickly. The prices are very fair and affordable. Highly recommend this vet office!!
