We were in from out of town and something came up with our little dog. Afraid of waiting to get back home and travel, we chose to drive 35 minutes to VCA. We were met promptly and the tech was very nice, so much so that my dog didn’t want her to set her down for her checks so the tech held her to comfort her. We loved that. The vet came out after seeing her and gave us the brake down. Dr. Nick Woo-Sam was so honest and understanding. He told us that we could go the full gambit and do x-rays, etc.. OR treat symptoms. He didn’t seemed concerned and we were on the same page so we chose to treat the symptoms. We were in and out in about 1 hr and my dog was acting better in about 2-3 days. We really liked the ability to call them after the visit for concerns and questions. Most vets will say to bring them back in but this vet gave us guidance that didn’t involve more vet visits. This set my mind at ease more than once and helped me to make educated decisions. Know that emergency vets are just that, emergency vets, so you pay to walk through the door but when it’s your best friend, you do what is required. Thank you to the staff. Pic is before getting sick.

They were wonderful! Long wait because they were short staffed and dealing with more serious situations, but so kind and compassionate. Brought us pillows and blankets and constantly checked on us and our pup. Even though the Dr had a lot going on, took time to answer our questions and didn’t appear rushed when she was working with us. The woman at the counter was so professional and composed kindly telling someone who was leaving “so sorry for your loss” and then when the woman left the building, the employee silently wept for the dog that had just passed. Just a very kind group of people who really care for the families. Way less expensive than expected. Would definitely go back!

Mawson needed ACL/ Meniscus surgery, his doctor referred Caves of Concord Dr Gazolla to do his surgery. On consultation day of course being super nervous, we met the whole team that would be part of surgery, they all were equally amazing explained everything from start to finish I knew Mawson would be in good hands.Surgery day they kept in touch when they started by sending me a text followed up by a call from Dr Gazolla upon completion , Mawson did great. Next morning we picked him up the nurse did amazing and answered all my questions upon his discharge. Even today two weeks later they continue with all there support and availability with any of my questions. You guys are wonderful and Mawson is doing amazing with his healing and his progress. Thank you so much and thank you for taking such good care of my baby ♥️

Our dog, Tuukka, went from being his normal hyper self to an extremely lethargic and clearly sick dog with no warning. We brought him into CAVES and he was quickly seen by the nurse who was compassionate while also being honest with us. Upon her first examination of him, she let us know that she was concerned - it was very nice to be validated. She brought him back for an ultrasound and Dr. Woo came in to let us know that there was fluid surrounding his heart. He gave us our options while letting us know that even if we try to treat him, he likely won’t make it. Every pet parent has the worry in the back of their mind when going to the e-vet that they are going to be given the run around just for the worst outcome anyway. We sincerely appreciated the honesty from the CAVES team as it made our extremely difficult decision a bit easier. When it came to saying goodbye, the team was extremely compassionate and gave us plenty of time - even letting us wait for my mom to come and say goodbye to him. While our hearts were broken to leave without Tuukka, we are so thankful for the care he received in his final moments.

My friend went there last night with his cat. They put him in a room right away due to there being a lot of dogs in the waiting room and wanting my friends cat to feel safe. This is awesome, but they forgot about them!!! He ended up falling asleep and waking up to realize he had been there for 7 hours. So he left and went somewhere else.
