How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cow Country Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This big, sweet fella has had a plugged uropygial(oil) gland that we didn't know who to see for help. Even though this was the first goose they've seen or treated, Doc was wonderfully kind, gentle and patient while working on Gandalf. We've seen him three times and each time we've left feeling better than before. Gandalf is finally eating and acting more like his silly self now, thanks solely to the kind and helpful hands of Doc! He is GREAT and if he isn't sure how to treat, he's quick to read through medical texts to figure out the problem. We love going to Cow Country Animal Clinic!

We were remote camping about an hour away when our dog suddenly started hobbling around on 3 legs. We called Cow Country Animal Clinic to ask if they could fit us in on a Friday afternoon, and they said to come on in. We got there and the vet took a look at her to determine nothing was stuck in her foot, nothing was broken and it was just a strain, so decided some pain pills were all that were needed and boy did they do the trick, she was trotting around just fine when we got back to our campsite. At a cost of just $42, that is the cheapest vet visit I have ever experienced, and it is so worth the piece of mind to me to be sure my dog is ok.
