How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Valley Veterinary Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love this place. After having two really bad experiences at other vets in Fargo, I found Valley Veterinary and all I can say is Thank God. What is interesting to me is this vet clinic actually knows what a cat is and how to deal with them. At other clinics in Fargo, they have to consult medical dictionaries to look up the words "C-A-T". It is baffling, to say the least. But aside from previous frustrations, I strongly recommend Valley Veterinary. As far as I am concerned, it is the ONLY vet clinic in Fargo I would go to.

Absolutely sick of trying to deal with their terrible service. I can live with the prices and I love how knowledgeable they are but allow it is outweighed with how unprofessional and unhelpful their staff are. I've been trying to reach them, for days, about a medication my pet has been having a TERRIBLE reaction to but really needs and all I'm met with is "we'll call you back" or "I can't help you". When your bad service transfers over to the health of my pet I'm done.

Super Nice staff tho! They have the equipment/ tech. However, it is very expensive here. Where you can get a visit somewhere different a hour out for 1/4 the price. Revisit fees are only $10 less than a normal visit which by itself is close to $100. Feel like a simple revisit could be a lot cheaper as you’re paying 80-90$ to say “yes they are doing good”.

My very recent experience with Valley Vet was a 10/10. My lab became ill and I called first thing Monday morning and they were able to see her right away. After using information from the ER vet from over the weekend and their new imaging, Dr Haroldson diagnosed a stomach blockage. She was very thorough in her exam and possible outcomes and was able to get her in the for emergency surgery. Her assistant, Vicky, was a great help as well and took a lot of time explaining all the pertinent information from risks and what to expect from the procedure and with post op instructions. They followed up throughout the week to see how Annie was doing. Very good surgery and the outcome has been great. Without their expertise and thoroughness, the outcome could have easily been very different. Also, Brittany up front was very kind and pleasant to visit with. Thank you, Dr Haroldson and the rest of the Valley Vet crew!

Everyone was very pleasant and easy to work with. They managed to keep my cat relatively calm, even though he was very anxious.
