How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Caswell Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Facility Tour

Dr. Fuller is the best Vet we've ever had. We are new farmers and he is always ready to teach us new things about all of our various animals. He is super caring. Also makes farm house calls which is priceless! We Love him

The most knowledgeable, caring veterinarian around for your large and small pets. 30+ years experience with a smile. Great with reminders about routine required vaccinations, and care. Dr. Don Fuller has taken care of my horses and dogs for 20 years. We're all like family now. Love this guy.

After discovering my Chihuahua had a hernia and needed surgery, I called Dr. Fullers office for a second opinion. He saw her the same day and scheduled her surgery. I was nervous as this was my baby. He was very informative and called to check on her twice after she came home. I believe Mr. Fuller truly cares about the animals. You can see this in the price of his services. Very, very budget friendly. Thank you Dr. Fuller, you now have a customer for life.

I love Dr. Fuller and his receptionist Annie. My pets have been seeing him ever since I was a little girl. He's always wanting his patients' owners to learn about their pets and what might be illing them.

I think Dr. Fuller is excellent. This opinions comes after having initial skepticism as his office is located in a trailer. And when you enter the trailer, the inside is not like a big city veterinarian's office at all: there is no receptionist or even a waiting area. Nevertheless, Dr. Fuller greeted me personally, took care of us, answered all of our questions, and, somewhat surprisingly, even allowed me to look at slides of the tapeworms he found under his microscope. I have never heard of a vet doing that (or a human doctor, for that matter). It really made it clear how serious the problem was. I highly recommend Dr. Fuller.
