How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Friendship Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our baby Scout has been going to Friendship since he was 8 weeks old and he is now 2. They have been great especially when scout got kennel cough and another time when he had really bad bowel issues. We have been really happy especially being new dog parents.

Friendship Animal hospital is by far the Best fit for Max our 9 yr old black lab(mixed). We tried an extended stay at a Pineville dog kennel for the first time- 13 nights over 17 days and while he got to socialize with many dogs and play outside for 4 hrs. He came home lethargic both times. He also came home with kennel cough and a 105* temperature. Needless to say the more expensive kennel cost more per night and the expense of the emergency vet visit and 2 required medications cost me double!!! We are canceling the future kennel stays and hoping for a refund on the unused nights. We are only going to board Max at his Vet and with their great care teams! Max is so excited every time we just pull into Friendships parking lot he can Hardly contain himself - before rushing inside! Thanks to you all - this is the best Vet we have ever had in my 6 decades of pets. W.

The Team at Friendship Animal Hospital is fantastic. They have been my cats veterinarian since I moved to the area in January 2002. Very professional!! Plus, they have kenneling areas for both cats and dogs that accept pets that require prescription medications.
