I’m sure I am unable to share my story without shedding many tears, but it’s important for you to know the kind of doctor and staff that is here at this office. Early March 2023, I received the devastating news from our vet that our beloved Buzz was gravely ill and suffering. We made the difficult decision to not allow him to suffer any longer so we agreed to have him put down that day. Sadly, our vet was unable to schedule our Buzz to be euthanized in the late afternoon that day. This was important because our son wanted to be with us when this happened so that we could all be with Buzz and showering him with love as he took his last breath. I started frantically calling any vet in my area to see if anyone would be willing to accommodate us for a late day appointment - for a non-patient - for this situation. Not only did the staff at NW Animal Hospital agreed to help us with this very difficult situation, but they were extremely kind and compassionate and comforting when we all arrived for our appointment that afternoon. Our oldest son had to drive from Raleigh to make it and they were super kind to allow him time to arrive. Again, keep in mind that we are NOT patients of this animal hospital at this time and they helped us during our darkest moments, allowed us as much time as we needed in the rooms after he passed away and for that we will forever be grateful. After a few months without Buzz, we decided we were ready to adopt another dog from our local rescue to love. When we got Charlie, there was only one vet I was going to take him too. We adopted Charlie as a puppy and therefore there have been several visits already every three weeks for him for his vaccinations. They continue to be as loving and friendly and compassionate as they were the first time we stepped into their office on that sad day. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, their true love for animals, their expertise, their years of experience, and their fair prices.

Dr Wendy Camp is magnificent and the staff are absolutely so nice. They took such wonderful care of my cat Baby. He had to have a toe amputated and several teeth extracted. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend Northwest Animal Hospital

We found Dr. Camp when our elderly dog, Frankie, had become very ill, I wasn’t thrilled with our current vet. I called them and was able to drop him off to be worked in. Dr. Camp worked tirelessly over the next few weeks to try to get to the bottom of what was going on with him, staying late, calling specialists from teaching hospitals, truly going the extra mile. Although we weren’t able to save him, it wasn’t for her lack of trying. Her compassion and care for the animals she treats is unlike any I have experienced. We were sent the most beautiful card with personal messages from each of the staff and his paw prints, it was above and beyond what would ever be expected. The staff has always been so friendly and welcoming and it is evident that they love the animals that are patients there. That doesn’t go unnoticed. We now have two new loves, Toby and Henry, and I wouldn’t trust their care with anyone else! I never leave reviews, but when looking for care for your fur babies, it’s important to be able to see real and honest experiences and I felt compelled to share mine. Thanks to everyone at Northwest Veterinary Hospital for being so awesome💜

Dr. Camp quite literally saved our dog's life. My husband showed up on her doorstep with our dog that had been hit by a truck on a Friday afternoon. We weren't even clients at the time and she took him in and operated on him until midnight. It was a very long road to recovery, and she was there every step of the way to support us, meeting us at the clinic several times a day to visit with him when he was still critically ill. He is here today because of her, and we are forever grateful. She is one of the best--veterinarians and people.
