How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Performance Equine Mobile Veterinary Services PLLC

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Moore is an excellent veterinarian, very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. The facility is also very nice for hauling in and easy to get in an out of. I highly recommend bringing your horses here for dentals and other services.

On top of excellent care and service, the vets and staff at Performance Equine have provided me with information and education to support me in making the best decisions for my horse's health. In the eight years I have been their client, Dr. Gomes and Dr. Smith have explained options for my horse on health issues ranging from weird spider bites, to vaccine schedules, joint health, DSLD, EPM, and all those cuts and scrapes my horse manages to get. Every time, I have been given options for care with the pros and cons laid out clearly and I have never felt like I was being upsold. My aging gelding is thriving because of their quality care, the time they take to understand individual horse's situations, and the way they work to empower owners.

I have been using this practice for my horses for several years and am always very happy. Dr Gomes can see lameness better than anyone I’ve met and has a practical and client/horse-centered approach to diagnostics. Dr Smith has helped us in a few emergencies and PPEs and we so appreciate his compassion and gentle, loving way with the horses. Highly recommend!
