How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Big Bear Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Been here twice. First to get teeth checked and get updated shots. Rebecca Elrond was wonderful. The staff is very kind. Second visit was to get teeth cleaned and again the staff was kind and caring. His teeth looked great and they were great about explaining the bill to me. I highly recommend them.

Hands down the most caring staff. They can also accommodate farm animals and farm calls as well. They saved my indoor pet pigs life when they could have easily sent her to UGA. Ty BBVC!! You guys ROCK!!!

They got us in quickly because we were concerned for our pup. They were very patient with a nervous, scared pup. They did have to muzzle her because she would not stop growling. It was her first time being to a vet after being adopted from the Humane Society, so she was quite scared. She quickly learned that with my reassurance & their peanut butter, everybody who worked there were good people. :) The staff was great. We will be back with the rest of our furry brood.

I have brought both my cats here. My mischievous guy, Kaine fell into a candle warmer and was covered in wax. They did a wonderful job giving him anesthesia and getting it all shaved out. And my sweet girl, Candy is in today for surgery because she swallowed a string and hasn't been doing well all week. They medicated her with anti nausea and laxatives a few days ago before we could determine it was a string and after some close monitoring at home, I brought her back and I am praying her surgery goes well today. The doctor and nurses have all been very compassionate and helpful and I feel like she is in the best hands. I definitely trust them with my fur babies. Pray for Candy 😥❤️‍🩹🙏
