How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Clean animal reception room. Tech Jordan was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and kind to my cat. Dr Beckworth was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, answered all of my concerns and impressed me to the point of wanting to continue my cat’s veterinary care at Banfield.

I brought my dog in for vaccines on the week of the 4th and the receptionist forgot to provide me with my dog’s simparica trio. I was so busy trying to tame my anxious dog I didn’t notice until later when I went to give it to him. When I call to request if they could provide it the woman yells at me to calm down when I was simply explaining my concern and request. She was extremely rude and had terrible customer service. I don’t see how my request to care for my pet caused her to have a nasty attitude but she managed to ruin my day. Never coming back.

Not happy with the veterinary care received today. I brought my dog in to have a mass growing on both of his paws that weren’t there, and they said it seemed fine. I told them at the initial of the visit I wanted his nails trimmed, said they couldn’t do it due to my dog not cooperating which doesn’t make sense because my dog consistently visits a groomer and it’s never been an issue. They also gave a vague diagnosis of his itchy skin which is a chronic condition I’ve been dealing with for years. Not sure what vet was working today but I feel like it was just someone wearing scrubs today that saw my pet. I paid 100 for a rabies shot essentially. Do yourself a favor and visit a REAL vet, and if banfield is your only choice avoid this location.

How are you a veterinary clinic within a pet store and don’t know how to work with/calm anxious animals??? My dog automatically got label as “aggressive” because it was his first interaction with them and she tried to muzzle him off the bat because he barked….they also rushed the appointment not giving him his full office visit and exam. Literally gave him shots and kicked him out. They will never see my pup again. If I could leave negative stars, I would.

just had a call from them and was very displeased with the customer service. woman on the phone was rude and inconsiderate, they also shouldn’t put appointment times on their site if they don’t actually want you to come in then. if i book a 430 appointment i should be able to have that appointment without being guilted and forced into changing it. very disappointing to be treated this way, not everyone has the availability to just come in whenever they want.
