How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Chapel Hill Vet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our pets have received excellent care from Dr. Driehuys and her team for ten years. She and the rest of the staff are thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. They are responsive and their communications are clear and detailed. Somehow, they find time to help in a hurry if a pet is acute enough that it needs attention soon, but not acute enough for the ER. Beyond "just" medical care, they've been able to help us with mental health for one of our doggos and very difficult house training for another dog.

Dr. Driehuys and her team have been providing us with excellent veterinary care for years. We love the convenience and reduced stress having our pets seen at home. She is thorough, knowledgeable and always accessible for questions or dealing with issues.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Driehuys et al! I have been visiting a friend in Chapel Hill for the past month during a cross-country move, and my dog has been seen by this office three times during our stay for various issues that happened to arise while here! I am sad we won't be here any longer to continue working with this office of professionals. This team is comprised of total pros, who are conscientious, efficient, thorough, caring, communicative, and simply outstanding. Dr. Driehuys has also provided me with excellent tips for elder-dog care and additional treatment ideas for his hip dysplasia. My dog and I will miss them. Highly recommend!

Fantastic people and great vet care. Such a great thing, having the vet come to our pets, and avoiding the whole car ride and the potential stress of other animals and waiting rooms.

Jerked me around for a week, then refused to help me. I wouldn't trust these utter clowns with a rented mule that I want dead.
