How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Carolina Crossing Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Great Vet! First vet who could trim my sensitive bulldog, Thor's toenails!! The office staff are friendly, super sweet, helpful, getting me in as soon as they can. I moved nearby and am so glad to find them. Sue at the front desk is great.

Very UNDERSTANDING! My dog is very skittish of people! Because of his circumstances before I got him! Hes been with me 3 yrs.Everyone there was so kind and understanding! The vet was very sweet! The dog never made a sound against anyone! I was proud of him too! Give them a chance! You will love them!

The American Veterinary Medical Association advises against the use of sedatives with euthanasian because many are known to result in this scenario and does NOT render the animal completely unconscious. I hope your beloved family member isn't euthanized here. A sedative was used prior to euthanizing my dog. After 1.5 hours and two doses, she was never fully unconscious. My dog straightened all her limbs, became very rigid, took several huge deep breaths and here eyes were open wide just before she passed. It was NOT a peaceful passing and very traumatic to witness. I have had 3 dogs put down previously. It was always very peaceful, fast and uneventful, gone within a few minutes. Give your beloved pet the gift of love and compassion with a fast and painless passing. Find it elsewhere.

We just moved here and our fur baby got very sick. I called multiple vets and most couldn’t fit us in for two weeks or more but Carolina crossings took us in same day and took such good care of us. The office staff were kind and helpful and the vet we saw was thorough and knowledgeable. I am so thankful and happy to make them our permanent vet here in our new home in North Carolina.
